We are privileged to have played a small role in Ballymore’s very special ‘Dalewood – Theo & Oskar’ Project.
Ballymore are often approached to donate toward varied causes, but this project in particular stuck out to them and we can understand why. With the hope of dramatically improving the living conditions and quality of life for two terminally ill brothers, Ballymore were committed to delivering this project to their exacting standards. They called upon and received many offers of assistance from their supply chain including ourselves and we were delighted at the opportunity to be involved.
Theo (5) and Oskar (3), were diagnosed in 2014 with Duchenne muscular dystrophy which is an incurable, progressive muscle wasting, life limiting disease, it is likely the boys will not see adulthood. The condition will gradually see them become less and less mobile and able to carry out even the simplest tasks, the condition will ultimately see them lose all mobility and is always fatal. Ballymore undertook this special project with the aim to help this family extend and adapt their house into a very special home. The mission is to create “a magical place with a wonderful garden that will nurture the boys’ hearts and spirits in spite of their life-limiting disease.” – Nick Taussig.
Wishing Theo, Oskar and the whole family all the very best in their new home.
