Sean Doyle Painting Contractors are proud to be part of the Silvertown regeneration project, providing expert painting and decorating services for 106 social and private rent units, as well as the associated communal areas, plant rooms, cycle stores, and bin stores within this six-storey building. Set to be completed by Autumn 2025, this first residential building marks the beginning of a major transformation in the heart of the Royal Docks.
The wider Silvertown regeneration project aims to rejuvenate a 60-acre derelict site, creating approximately 6,500 new homes, including a significant number of affordable housing options across London Affordable Rent, Social Rent, and Shared Ownership tenures. This project will play a crucial role in the ongoing regeneration of the area, providing both housing and commercial spaces, while contributing to the growth of a vibrant new community.
Designed by Maccreanor Lavington Architects and Brydon Wood Structural and M&E Engineers, and constructed by John Sisk & Son, this building features one and two-bedroom homes, as well as ground-floor retail space. It will serve as the gateway to the entire regeneration scheme, setting the benchmark for the quality and standards of future developments in the area. The design incorporates modern construction methods, including steel framing and precast concrete panels, which not only reduce embodied carbon but also shorten construction timelines and enhance the overall quality of the building.
Sean Doyle Painting’s involvement in this landmark project ensures that the finishes in the residential units and communal spaces are completed to the highest standards, contributing to the long-term success and appeal of the development. We are excited to play a part in shaping the future of Silvertown and the wider Royal Docks area.
