This award-winning project was designed by McCullough Mulvin Architects and sensitively restored by Collen Construction and the Seán Doyle Painting Contractors. The stunning new Blackrock Further Education Institute encompasses three heritage buildings in one state-of-the-art educational facility, showcasing the highest standards in design and master craftsmanship finishes.

The SDPC’s experienced work force restored the existing building with Farrow and Ball paint finishes throughout. Pain-staking attention to detail was required for restoration of existing finishes to a high standard while maintaining the integrity it’s historic characteristics. We also carried out full painting and decorating services to the new build extension.

It was the seamless connection between these historic characteristics and the modern architectural design features that won the Blackrock FEI the Irish Georgian Society Architectural Conservation Award in 2014.
